Project 05 · Home and garden publication
I built Inteligencia Doméstica to turn messy product research into clear buying guides.
Inteligencia Doméstica is a Spanish home and garden publication built around product analysis, comparisons, and practical guidance. The work combines editorial judgment with a repeatable WordPress and research system.

The site brings product analysis, comparisons, and practical home guides into one place.
01 / Starting point
Buying guides go stale quickly.
Home and garden products change constantly. Model names overlap, retailer pages disappear, specifications conflict, and a useful answer depends on the reader’s space, budget, and actual task.
Inteligencia Doméstica is where I turn that messy research into clearer paths: category context, comparison criteria, practical guidance, and articles that can be refreshed instead of abandoned.
Product principleExplain the choice before recommending the product.
02 / How it works
From a buying question to a guide that can be updated.
Intent
Map the question
The research starts with the decision a reader is actually trying to make.
Research
Verify the market
Products, specifications, availability, and source quality are compared before drafting.
Editorial
Build the guide
Criteria, tradeoffs, tables, images, and internal routes are assembled in WordPress.
Operations
Publish and revisit
Search evidence, affiliate records, and later product changes feed the maintenance cycle.

Category pages connect buying decisions with detailed guides, maintenance questions, and product research.
03 / Product decisions
Readers should see the criteria behind a recommendation.
Criteria before ranking
Readers should understand why one product fits a use case before they see an ordered list.
Clusters, not isolated posts
Category pages and related guides connect a broad decision with specific problems, products, and maintenance questions.
Source the changing facts
Specifications, availability, and product identity need evidence that can be revisited when the market changes.
Keep commerce legible
Affiliate destinations and disclosures belong inside an editorial system whose first job is still to help the reader decide.
04 / Behind the scenes
Research, WordPress, and maintenance.
I work across topic selection, product research, comparison criteria, WordPress patterns, affiliate attribution, internal linking, search performance, and ongoing repair of the content already serving readers.
Research
Products and source evidence
Specifications, variants, retailer availability, manufacturer material, and comparison criteria.
Editorial
Guides and category systems
Templates for reviews, comparisons, maintenance answers, and connected topic clusters.
Platform
WordPress implementation
Responsive blocks, tables, ratings, disclosures, metadata, and reusable page patterns.
Feedback
Search and affiliate evidence
Indexability, queries, clicks, destinations, and content gaps that reveal what needs attention.

The guide explains the context, criteria, and limitations before linking to products.

The same layout covers appliances, cleaning, home comfort, garden equipment, and seasonal research.
What has been difficult
The market moves faster than the article
A product can change name, variant, seller, or availability while the underlying reader question stays the same.
Comparison tables can fail on small screens
Dense product information has to remain usable when a phone viewport, sidebar, or browser panel reduces the available width.
Volume can weaken judgment
A repeatable workflow should improve consistency without turning research into automatic filler or publishing weak pages for coverage alone.
05 / What I’ve learned
What I have learned from maintaining buying guides.
Research quality depends on preserving uncertainty instead of hiding it.
A category page can be more valuable than another isolated article.
The publishing system should make corrections easy.
06 / Where it is now
Today
Live and actively developed.
Inteligencia Doméstica is live and actively developed. Current work spans article repairs, category structure, seasonal product research, affiliate integrity, responsive comparison patterns, and a more explicit publishing workflow.
Next
- Deepen the strongest home and appliance clusters instead of expanding without evidence.
- Improve reusable research and publication checks for new and refreshed guides.
- Keep comparison content readable and useful across constrained mobile layouts.
