Hi, I’m Rubén. I build products for the web, and learn by making them.

I did not study computer science. I trained as an architect and found my way into software through curiosity and my own projects. What hooked me was being able to learn something, turn it into a real product, and keep improving it after launch.

I learn best when I have something real to build, break, fix, and maintain.

Every project forces me to learn something new.

I started with websites and WordPress. Then came products, payments, phone calls, databases, automation, and AI. I have learned what I needed to move each idea forward.

I usually read until I understand enough to build a first version, put it to work, and discover what I got wrong. Then I go back and fix it.

I made this site to keep all of that in one place: the projects, the changes I make to them, and the notes I do not want to lose.

I worked on buildings, interiors, and masterplans across Europe and Asia. That work has its own separate portfolio. See my architecture work

How I work

Build something real A real project gives me questions I cannot avoid and answers I can test.

Learn enough for the next step I read, test, and ask questions until I can make the next part work. Then the project shows me what I missed.

Make it easy to understand I want people to know what is happening, what they can do next, and what happens if something fails.

Maintain what I launch I keep fixing bugs, checking the boring parts, and improving the product after it is live.

Codex is part of how I work now.

I learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python by building my own projects. Each one gave me more control over what I could make.

Most of the time I use AI, I’m working in Codex. I use it on real projects to understand unfamiliar code, test ideas, find problems, and move between different parts of a codebase. I still have to give it the right context, question its answers, and check the work.

Now

Talkala is live and I keep improving it. I’m also developing DOMShot, maintaining two Spanish websites, and running AI experiments to learn what is actually useful.
