Project 04 · Fitness publication
Running a publication means maintaining articles, links, templates, and search visibility.
Fuerte Sin Gym is a Spanish fitness publication about training at home, equipment, machines, nutrition, and practical routines. I treat the writing, WordPress setup, links, search visibility, and ongoing repairs as parts of the same product.

The homepage brings together training guides, equipment research, tools, and the Spanish article library.
01 / Starting point
I wanted Spanish fitness advice that was practical and easy to apply.
I kept finding routines with little explanation, product pages shaped around search terms, and recommendations that went stale when links or models changed.
Fuerte Sin Gym became my place to organize useful training information, explain the tradeoffs, and learn how to maintain the publishing system behind it.
Product principleHelp the reader train or choose. Do not make them decode the page first.
02 / How it works
From a reader’s question to a maintained article.
Research
Find a real question
The topic starts with a practical training, equipment, or purchasing need.
Editorial
Build the useful structure
The article organizes instructions, comparisons, evidence, and constraints around that need.
Publication
Publish for people and search
WordPress, metadata, internal links, and responsive presentation support discovery and reading.
Operations
Maintain what is live
Links, products, indexability, formatting, and older claims are checked and repaired over time.

Categories help readers move through training and product content without relying on search alone.
03 / Product decisions
New articles and old repairs get the same attention.
Reader task first
An article should answer the practical question before it asks the reader to consider a product.
Evidence where it changes advice
Sources matter most when they support programming, safety, performance, or another consequential claim.
Affiliate links stay identifiable
Commercial links and disclosures should support the publication without disguising the business model.
Repair is product work
Broken destinations, duplicated products, old screenshots, and accidental noindex states are treated as defects, not editorial trivia.
04 / Behind the scenes
The publication runs on editorial and technical work.
I work across editorial direction, article structure, WordPress implementation, product research, affiliate links, SEO, measurement, and the repetitive maintenance that keeps an older publication dependable.
Editorial
Guides and comparisons
Training explanations, equipment analysis, routines, and practical product guidance.
Platform
WordPress system
Theme, blocks, templates, responsive behavior, metadata, and reusable publishing patterns.
Discovery
Search and internal structure
Categories, links, sitemaps, indexability, and content clusters that help useful pages be found.
Commercial
Affiliate operations
Current product destinations, disclosures, attribution, and compatibility with the live site.

The article combines instructions, constraints, and sources around a routine the reader can follow.

Older pages still need link repairs, content updates, indexability checks, and visual QA.
What has been difficult
A living site accumulates debt
Years of articles, plugins, links, and layout decisions create overlapping systems that have to be understood before they are changed.
Products disappear or change
A recommendation can remain editorially useful while its exact model, retailer, price, or affiliate destination stops being current.
SEO can obscure the reader
Search structure is useful only when it helps people find and understand the answer instead of deforming the content around a keyword.
05 / What I’ve learned
What years of running the site have taught me.
A publication is software with slower feedback and a much longer memory.
Maintenance quality becomes part of editorial credibility.
A good content system lets me update an old article without rebuilding it.
06 / Where it is now
Today
Live and actively maintained.
Fuerte Sin Gym is live and actively maintained. Recent work has focused on article quality, affiliate destination repair, indexability, responsive presentation, and keeping existing WordPress behavior stable while improving it.
Next
- Continue refreshing the most useful training and equipment clusters.
- Make maintenance and affiliate-link verification more repeatable.
- Improve navigation between practical guidance, comparisons, and supporting tools.
